@thejackhopkins I remember this well. A family member had been recently appointed FDA Deputy Commissioner of Crises Management when this happened and had a hand in advising J&J on their response. Kudos to the company for doing the right thing.
Waukesha County is just west of Milwaukee County. I lived and worked there for more than 20 years before I retired and moved east to the City of Milwaukee. Regretfully, this move by the Waukesha School district does not surprise me; it saddens me deeply. @LakotaMan1@CorriHess
@tatertotsmcgee I have the same problem due to being on prednisone for 42 years. On wounds I use a piece of non-stick sterile gauze and then wrap the wound with Coban. If I were back in dialysis I'd take Coban with me to avoid tape at all costs. Good luck.
@CassandraPeak@IsaLeeWolf Words are telling. "He LET me have the car" implies you needed his permission. Those days are behind you. You are taking back your power. You are on a journey to a better place. It may not be easy, but worth every step forward.
@DanRShafer Perhaps because a WI Senator, Ron Johnson, appears to have some involvement in this, Kaul is leaving it to the Feds. Perhaps Kaul knows more than we do. Just a possibility.
@briebriejoy Ah, youngsters. Purists. I'm 70. Voted for McGovern. Reality sets in over time. Brings back some lyrics from my high school days: "You can't always get what you want, but if you try real hard, you'll get what you need." Get what you need. At this point it's the Democrats.
@realmenards @CorriHess@MFallsLibrary@WPR What I actually said silently in my mind was: " And I bet you don't either". But I learned as a child not to insult people. Maybe he had a learning disability. Maybe he had to drop out of school to take over the farm. Maybe a librarian could have helped him.
@CorriHess@MFallsLibrary@WPR I also had an online"discussion" with a fellow who believes public libraries could be replaced by a single website. Ignorance can be contagious. Public libraries are community hubs. We need more coming together and life long learning, not less.
@CorriHess@MFallsLibrary@WPR I was the IT Coordinator for the Wksha Cnty Library System in the 90 's. When the System requested increased funding from the communities without libraries as a contribution for their library privileges in library communities, one Waukesha Brd member replied: "My cows don't read"
@tvladeck When I was 18 I mentioned to my then boyfriend: "I wish I had learned how to play tennis as a child". His response: "What are you, dead?".
Don't be dead while you're still alive.
@SuhanaAh My father had dementia. One night when I was tucking him into bed he asked: " Are you my mother?' I replied: "No, I'm your daughter, Ann." He seemed confused. Wish I had said: "Yes, Tommy. I'm your mother. Now it's time to go to sleep."
@medwoman1 @AlltheCanines It's referred to as "one up;one down" which means this type of person, suffering from low self esteem, feels "up" or "better than" when they put someone down. People with healthy self-esteem don't need to put people down to feel good about themselves.
