I went on a date last night with a guy who owns two guns “in case the socialists take over our country.”

I let him go on about this for about 10 mins before looking him dead in the eyes and saying “I’m a socialist, when would you use your gun on me exactly?”

Y’all on top of not hearing back from / getting rejected from every single job I’ve applied to for the past 6 months, I’ve called approx 15 therapist offices over the past 2 weeks and none are taking new clients. Life is hard rn

Really really disappointed to continue to hear my mom make claims that her being able to go out and live her life like normal (which she’s been doing all year) is fine because high risk people can just stay home — we have been and continue to have to because of people like her

-media outlets calling states vs official counts/electoral votes (2000’s lesson didn’t sink in)
-the states’ rules about when mail in votes can be counted (rejecting hysteria that some states are slower and...fraudulent because of that)

One ‘nice’ thing about living with several trump voters and avid fox news watchers is that I can calmly and rationally combat a lot of misinformation and mis-hysteria coming from them...not sure that it works but at least it’s not an echo chamber in here
