And, even more excitedly, as an Associate Assistant Head to lead maths at a wonderful school.

@EducEndowFoundn@DrSamSims@Doug_Lemov@AlexJQuigley@JohnPeterJerrim 10/ Study on the effects of lecture speed and note-taking on learning

What a great day, with our mission, vision and values with our LLME. Always an inspiring day working with such ambitious and inspirational teachers working together to improve outcomes for all pupils in the north east of England.
I think the culture shift towards collaborative working described in this is hugely positive.
I also read it as suggesting there be a focus on further developing problem solving which will, I hope broaden the mathematical experience in classrooms.
I think this is a useful report

I rarely make decent tasks, but this one has gone really well with two different groups. A joy to watch students fully appreciating that 3 - 2x is the same as -2x + 3.
Pls share. There's a little known benefit for grandparents who look after their grandchildren while parents work.
If ur a parent of an under 12, if your parent (ie childs grandparent) do childcare so you can work, u can apply to get em "Specified Adult Childcare Credit"

Couldn’t find a task on finding the equations of linear graphs which had the variation in the scaling of the axes that I wanted so I’ve made this.
There’s some nice discussion to be had around 1&4 (same equation, ‘look’ different) and 5&6 (‘look’ the same, different equation)
