I must express how upset and disappointed I am that @BUSargent has proposed discontinuing the MSAT program. I feel this does a huge disservice to the greater Athletic Training community, as @BUSATS has consistently turned out high quality clinicians and advocates

Seems to be due to the financial pressures of COVID but there arent much details.

I just don't think they truly considered how big of an impact the program has had on the advancement of the profession

@BUSargent I couldn’t be more heartbroken and disappointed about this decision. This program gave me everything I have today in my career as an athletic trainer. The faculty are the highest quality educators I know, and are the LEADERS of the profession of athletic training.

From pushing for the medical model in Academic settings to forming international connections to advancing education with some of the most comprehensive curriculum, the achievements of the program and the alum is immeseasuble.

Alum have historically been very prominent in serving in the @NATA1950 and @BOCATC and have spearheaded initiatives to advance the profession to be the best it can be

Removing this program takes away the opportunity for BU to continue to help lead the way for ATs in all settings
