On Friday, I passed my PhD viva! It still feels very surreal, but I’m so proud 😁 Thank you to @clarefbarker and @David_Farrier for being wonderful, diligent examiners, and to my supervisor Michelle Keown for calming my nerves!

[Dr Anna Kemball @AnnaKemball]

@Atheoch @LLCatEdinburgh Thanks Angelos! Yes, it was a special day with family

[Dr Anna Kemball @AnnaKemball]

Life post-PhD certainly has its highs and lows, but this was a high! A tad lonely to graduate without any PhD pals or any familiar faces from @LLCatEdinburgh, so sharing again the big wordy thankyou from my thesis

[Dr Anna Kemball @AnnaKemball]

@Flos_Ferus Aww Alice 🥺🥺 thankyou!

We are looking for fictional stories located in the future, in which the work of healthcare is deliberately focused on responding to social & ecological challenges & supporting better ways of being healthy together.

.@the_polyphony doesn’t just reach an academic audience, and some of our readers discover medical humanities as a field via our site. So I'm commissioning posts introducing critical medhums - a ‘101’ series if you will. Key debates, history, concepts. Want to write one? DM me.

Universities tweeting about International Women’s Day #IWD2022 might like to remember that @ucu are currently in the middle of an industrial dispute with you to get fair pay. If you care about women, instead of tweeting, start negotiating. Deeds not words. #FourFights

If anyone is thinking about joining @ucu, particularly TAs/PhD students, let this huge kick in the teeth be the push you need. THIS is the broken system we are inheriting, and it will ultimately be up to us to change it
