@DarrelFrater I give anyone a 10min grace period. It’s a lot but usually doing other things meanwhile. If they don’t show up, it’s their job to follow up & explain, which usually happens. If not I would not speak to them again. Don’t worry about losing someone who didn’t respect your time.
Dear founders, this holiday season please do your best to take some real time off and encourage your team to do the same
I promise it will enable everyone to come back refreshed and ready to crush in the new year
@NWischoff I am so glad we talk about this! Because yes, 100% my experience also. Do you think this only applies to certain female founders, ie. the ones who are more dominant, confident etc tend to resonate with men vs seen as ”competition” with women..?
Quick announcement: I started an audio journal documenting my life as an early stage startup founder. 😎
Why? It hasn’t been done before, I like to talk & I am tired of reading success stories after they happen.
This is real life. In real time.

@galeforceVC Shouldn’t all investors step up when shit hits the fan? I know you guys are super founder friendly already - why would you need someone else to make you feel comfortable?
@darrenmarble This is true but it is exponentially harder if you don’t have VC connections. Most VCs want warm intros. Most founders would LOVE to talk to 250 investors but the reality is that they lack access (even worse for women/POC). Something about this model is damn broken.
