@Rocket57 So sorry for your loss, Marc. I’ve lost 3 uncles over the past couple of years. One of them died of Covid in 2020. I don’t think we will ever know the true causes of the others. None took precautions, so who knows whether Covid was a factor since testing is obsolete. Sad.
@CTVMontreal Where are the parent groups concerned with the air our kids are breathing in schools? Why not ask our new CAQ premier where the $432m dollars from the feds to clean the air in schools disappeared to?
Stopping them from getting repeatedly sick should be a huge concern.
@GangstHannah Not to mention the fact that here in Quebec, children under 12 CANNOT get a Covid vaccine this fall, paid or not paid. Unless your child is immunocompromised and has a doctors note, no vaccine. It’s effing criminal.
Speaking as an old dinosaur of a GP it strikes me that the best way to improve school attendance is to get schools and parents as wound up about air quality and COVID as they are about head lice.
Canada is on the verge of adopting a national standard requiring N95s in healthcare—and your voice can help make it happen.
This proposed CSA standard would:
- Require N95s (or equally protective alternatives) for all healthcare workers, patients, and visitors.
- Protect the most vulnerable.
- Set a historic global precedent for clean air in healthcare.
The CSA is accepting public comments until August 19. Submitting your comment takes just a few minutes and could make a global impact.

🚨 NYC CARRIAGE HORSE COLLAPSE
Today, a horse collapsed on 51st St & 11th Ave - eerily close to the anniversary of Ryder’s collapse. Per witnesses, the horse, driver, and the carriage also fell into the street. @cbsnews is reporting the horse has died. #banhorsecarriages
I mean, why spread misinformation? If you're not going to recommend anything that does reduce risk of infection such as masks or vaccination, why make any recommendations at all?
