@RoyalMail I sent a 48 hour tracked parcel on 3.12.2020 and it's still not shifted from the sorting office today... I understand Covid has caused issues but I'm worried that it has been lost (it was a unique custom painting, hence why I had sent it with tracking and signed for)
@DFS I ordered a sofa suite on 20/03/2020. The tracking still says due 05/05/2020, with no updates since. Can I find out how long this is likely to take? I understand there are backlogs but at least an update would be appreciated 😔
(1) I remember having my bank HCA training a couple of years ago, which included sepsis training, and asking why, as a mental health practitioner, did I need it? I was naive and innocent, and since then I have learnt why sepsis training is so important for all professionals
(3) I have seen HCAs and nurses alike not bother to take somebody's respiration rate because it's the norm not to do it in mental health apparently, and because it isn't seen as important as bloody pressure, or sats levels. We MUST be aware of this deadly illness
One of the first signs of sepsis in young people in particular is fast breathing; colleagues, I beg you that when you are doing physical observations that you take the time to check somebody's respiration rate. I know we're tired and we're busy, but it could save somebody's life
Felt absolutely inspired today by the marvellous @tomray99 and his wife @RayHudsonandray, absolutely incredible and heartbreaking journey. The love you showed for each other made my heart swell. You have made me proud to be a nurse once more. Thank you #RCN19#SepsisAwareness
