A compact upper-low will drop southeast through the Corn Belt and will excite unseasonably strong low-level shear ahead of it across eastern Missouri. We are activating full-blown storm chase mode on the way to my event in Fort Smith on August 1!

The Storm Prediction Center mentions a possible upgrade of #tornado probabilities in eastern Missouri, possibly southern Iowa for tomorrow 4-10 pm.
