@MartinSLewis My most treasured gift ever is a square wooden dowel which the child asked grandad to help drill 2 holes in and thread with string. It has my name and best teacher in sharpie. I always give my class gift because for some, it’s all they’ll get.

Sick. Nothing worse as a teacher. I’ve tried to just do antibiotics, cold ‘n flu remedies, early nights and just get to the end but this week, I’ve had to be off. Today has been the first day in nearly 10 weeks since I’ve felt almost well! Hopefully will make it in next week :)

Today’s results day 2. Last week the middle 1 aced her Btec - she thought she’d scrape a pass. She got straight to her uni course, no messing with clearing/back up plans. Today, I hope the youngest gets her GCSEs. I pray she’s done well. She’s always worked hard and deserves it!
