After 5 years of practicing ophthalmology alone with barely any opportunity of being mentored by other consultant ophthalmologists, I’m glad that @FredHollows and @ICEH_LSHTM has given me an opportunity to work with other consultants in India.

It’s been mesmerizing and mind blowing to witness other eye doctors doing the same surgery differently with more sophisticated equipment!

I have completed the stage of being wowed with the “huh! Eeeh! and What the heck! stages of learning and quickly embraced the different surgical skills.

The program is intense and I barely have time for myself but it’s a good thing because nothing comes on a silver platter!

To all the women out there, don’t give up on your dreams.
