Never waste your suffering. I channelled every tiny fibre of my own into being a nurse. I used all of it and redirected that energy into helping others and doing - or at least trying to! - a bit of good. And I kind of think that’s the meaning of life. 🙂
Former footballer Graeme Souness will climb the highest peaks in Scotland, Wales and England over three days in a bid to raise funds for people suffering from rare skin conditions in the UK.
He told #BBCBreakfast why he's taking on Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Yr Wyddfa to support people living with epidermolysis bullosa

There will be a moment of silence ahead of Manchester United vs Sabah on Thursday night, as well as a banner unfurled to read “You Are Not Alone Nepal!”, in support of Nepal’s flood victims.
This will be mandatory before every UEFA Champions League match this week #mufc
The fake quote epidemic in football is growing at an alarming rate on social media.
If something sounds a bit too neat, a bit too sharp and newsworthy, and - ultimately - not at all like the person it’s attributed to, then pause for a second.
The great thing about humans is our resilience. I genuinely believe every human being can survive absolutely anything & throughout history people have shown that.
We all fall sometimes. It’s part of our story. It just doesn’t have to be ‘the’ story.
You are needed. ❤️
🧵 September is suicide awareness month & I haven’t really known what to post other than to say this: nobody asks to tumble into the rabbit hole that is depression. It’s sneaks up on you. You’re in it and fumbling around in the darkness before you even know what’s happened.
Sometimes life happens; grief, loss, trauma, and your brain takes a battering. That’s not abnormal. We all get a little lost sometimes and sometimes we just fall down that rabbit hole. The thing to remember is the only one that can get back out again & control your story is: YOU.
The thing I’ve learned about this platform is that you could be the most knowledgeable person on the planet on any subject and people will still hate on you. So post your truth, say what you want to and just never let anyone dim your own light with their shadow.
The only game I thought Manchester United didn’t play well in this season was against Hull. We have new players attempting to find their feet and rhythm within the team and players post World Cup excursions. It takes time. Performances improving.
Even though result did feel like a defeat thought there was a lot to like about Manchester United against Everton. Controlled the game, Mainoo was excellent again, Rashford & Shaw were a breath of fresh air, Sesko goal will give him a lot of confidence. Just need to up the tempo.
If people want to believe Michael Carrick - who has won 17 major trophies with Manchester United - tolerates mediocrity then I have some magic beans I’d like to sell you.
It seems mediocrity will be tolerated for a while longer yet.
If a smiling Michael Carrick thinks four points from games against Hull, Ipswich and Everton is OK, then #MUFC fans between get used to more disappointment.

I don’t get the defence of the Gabriel kicking Martinez in the head was ‘accidental’
If you accidentally go over the top of the ball it’s a red, so why does intent matter for kicking someone… in the fucking head? What is more dangerous than that?
@obrienmark The club’s management of the ins and outs has been deplorable for years. Unfortunately don’t see that changing anything soon 😔 Always about two transfer windows behind.
That game isn’t even about the defending for me. Everton scored two unstoppable, worldclass goals. Fair play to them. Manchester United have to learn how to either kill the game or close out the game. That’s just sloppy today.
