Executive Director / Co-Director @abbeytheatre National Theatre of Ireland. All views my own...I think, although I am open to correction. Onwards

The arts are going to play a huge part in the restoration of communities and societies over the next years. Arts events facilitate the safe gathering of people in shared explorations of what it is to be human and what it is to dream, aspire and challenge. They create empathy 1/

Enough is enough. There needs to be multiple sackings today.

[Mark O’Brien @obrienmark]

I would love us to go down to the Championship looks like the only way to get the restart the club needs as surely the owners would sell. Fair play to Carrick for keeping Bruno on the bench.

@coravenuslunny Cora my heartfelt condolences to you and all the family

If anyone has a paper copy of today's Guardian with my beautiful Dad in it, we didn't manage to get hold of one today and would love if someone could save one for us!!!

@ImpressionistAL May it be the start of a new era

Am hearing the sad sad news that
Donal Lunny has passed on.
What music and legacy he leaves.
Alchemy in motion.

Animals, at the Abbey Theatre, is delightfully wacky and very irreverent. Very very irreverent🤣

Worth the 400km round trip yesterday, happy to recommend it.

And it’s three hours long, so you definitely get bang for your buck.

You have till November 7 to see it.

Not sure Conte is the right choice but his demands are exactly what the next manager should be given as what is above that position in the club is rubbish.

[centredevils. @centredevils]

🚨🚨| NEW: Antonio Conte has set his demands to Manchester United after talks on Wednesday night:

• Full control over transfer market decisions
Authority to choose the players he wants to sign
• A major influence on the overall squad-building process
• The ability to identify players suited to his tactical system
• The freedom to bring in trusted backroom staff and collaborators

Time for action. United fans around the world let’s find a mechanism where every fan who can puts in from €5 to €1000 and we buy the club off the vampires. Max you can invest is €1000.
There are millions of us #MUFC

What do you think? Pass it on

I can solve that: they can both go.

[Mark O’Brien @obrienmark]

@TheRulerUG @markgoldbridge And right there in the tone of your response is the problem with this club.

[Stephen Blevins @stephenblevins9]

I’ll be lambasted for pointing this out, but #MUFC sold its soul when our greatest manager ever was still in charge. He was the first with the, ‘Theres no value in the market’ nonsense. I have so many questions about the £30m he’s been paid and his thirteen year silence.

[Mark O’Brien @obrienmark]

@TheRulerUG @markgoldbridge Showing his own scores is exactly the problem. A captains job is to raise those around him as well and not just play for himself

[Mark O’Brien @obrienmark]

@AnnemarieDray Bruno needs to be sold immediately and stripped of the captaincy
