What an unedifying spectacle it was to see MPs speaking out against the EHRC Code of Practice - displaying embarrassing ignorance of the law. One MP even suggested that the CoP meant some people could no longer get married! 🤣
Worse than their ignorance is their dishonesty as to their real intentions - to have another run at amending the law to introduce Gender Self-ID in the UK.
They are welcome to try: they can consult Nicola Sturgeon for advice. But at least they should spell out their intentions instead of making a song and dance about the Code of Practice.
Another enraging aspect of the MPs’ brain-dead performances was their refusal to say the word “lesbian.” Not a single mention of the Lesbian Intervenors who helped to reaffirm the sex-based rights of gays and lesbians.
So it is a relief to see @soniasodha explain these matters to the legally, intellectually, politically - yes, and ethically - challenged members of parliament whose only version of courage is the courage to make fools of themselves in public.
@NadiaWhittomeMP You are fighting for the demands of men like this over the rights of my daughters, nieces and female friends and frankly, it is unforgivable.
Why don’t women complain about men in their changing rooms? Miranda did. She was banned from her South London gym as a result.
An update below. Her ban has been reduced. But she should never have been put through this ⬇️
Oxford Union President Arwa Elrayess has been exposed as a radical Islamist who hailed Hamas as “heroes” and called the October 7th massacre “proportionate.”
This after her predecessor George Abaraonye celebrated Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
The Union is a complete disgrace.
Having just had "travellers" saw straight through a massive steel barrier to trespass on to my farm for the second time in a month, and leave behind a heap of trash when they eventually left, forgive me if I don't join in these celebrations, @MayorofLondon.
Bro, let’s stop pretending.
Muslims make up about 25% of the entire world’s population — over 2 billion people across 50+ countries.
Japanese people? About 1.4% of the world. One single country.
Shinto exists only in Japan.
So when people say “Japan should prioritize minorities and be more accommodating to Islam,” who exactly are we talking about?
The global majority is coming to one of the world’s smallest ethnic and religious groups and demanding that Japan change its culture, food, and traditions for them.
That’s not “protecting minorities.” That’s the majority trying to colonize a tiny minority.
Japan has every right to protect its own people and culture first.
If Muslims want to live under Islamic rules, they already have dozens of countries where they can do that. They don’t need to come to Japan and turn it into another one.
Dear @marksandspencer The women whose custom you are losing will go elsewhere. This loss of trade will not be replaced by the men in wigs. That’s because they only want to be there if we’re there!
So when the real women leave - the fake women will desert you too!
As a lesbian, Pride used to actually mean something to me.
It was about women who liked women, men who liked men, and those who liked a bit of both… it was about normalising, rather than othering us… and somehow that was enough.
All gone. Gender ideology stormed in and torched the whole thing.
Now same-sex attraction makes you “problematic,” biology is a hate crime, and every pride event is filled with mandatory pronouns, lesbian erasure, the destruction of women’s rights, and cult chants demanding you bow to the full LGBTQIA+ circus. If you don’t, you’re a nazi bigot.
I hate saying I’m a lesbian these days. I flinch waiting for people to lump me in with that lot, the parades, the sexualised drag around children, the corporate rainbow vomit, the endless reality-rewrite bollocks.
Nah. Not for me. I’ve found my actual tribe in brilliant women who fight for women’s rights instead of that deplorable drivel.
Pride Month? What is there to be proud of when it comes to Pride Month in 2026?
If anything, it makes me feel shame.
An astonishing omission by @BBCNews to leave out the motivation of this man. He specifically targeted girls and he was motivated by ‘trans’ grievances.
Why sanitise the truth in this case?
In his own words 👇
Not a single MP identified anything the Code got wrong about the law in the Commons statement on Monday. There was just lots of whinging about the fact they didn’t like the law. Well, you’re MPs. You’re in a better position than most to campaign to change it. I and other feminists will oppose you every step of the way though.
You are joking? 70 actual MPs are that stupid/captured?
When is this going to finally end? If the PM & his wretched 'soit-disant' Government had any spine they would have knocked this ridiculous & dangerous fantasy on the head when it first emerged. It is well beyond time that anyone with a sole degree in Politics is banned from becoming an MP as it is obviously not fit for purpose.
Belatedly, a government guidance document upholds the Supreme Court ruling that a woman is – guess what? – a woman. 70 MPs have signed a rearguard motion opposing it. Presumably they think a man is a woman if he says he is. Among them is Layla Moran, for whom I used to vote.
It’s good to hear that NHS staff are no longer to be allowed to wear political symbols and badges at work. This should include Pride lanyards and “progress” badges, which are also politically polarizing - and not “inclusive” of those who know that sexual orientation is based on biological sex.
