@SecMayorkas@SecMayorkas. Thank you for your support of the H2B program. For the first time in years we will be able to get are workers on time and plan for the season. Will be purchasing more equipment and supplies which also helps other businesses in our area!
@JudgeCarter Please help out the seasonal employers in your district and vote for the Returning Worker Exemption to the FY23 DHS Appropriations bill. We need a reliable source for labor so we can meet the demands of our growing area. PLEASE HELP!! #saveH2B
Handing out cork screws at today’s #H2B fly-in to represent how America’s small, seasonal employers have been “screwed” and that we need Congress to “unscrew” the problem by including an RWE in the FY23 DHS Appropriations bill
1/2 Now that @DHSgov has announced the release of 35,000 visas, our focus shifts to securing permanent #H2B cap relief. Our goal is to get significant cap relief, such as an RWE, into the House FY23 DHS Approps bill this summer. The number one thing you can do to help is to
Now hearing that the #H2B rule will not be published for another couple weeks. Come on @DHSgov, #releasethevisas! Every day this rule is delayed means contracts lost, contracts forgone and more angry customers. April and May are the main revenue months for landscapers. Lets go!
I often hear government officials and Congressional staffers say, "all these employers survived despite the shortage of visas." Define survive! Their Americans were worked into the ground, injuries and payroll costs went up and most suffered reputational damage.
April and May are the busiest months of the year. With all the winter cleanups and new landscapes, there is hardly time to take a breath. If we had our visa guys we would be able to take care of all our customers instead of turn them away. #releasethevisas@JudgeCarter@uscis
Don't misunderstand, we are thankful that @DHSGov understands there is a workforce shortage and has taken steps to address this by releasing additional #H2B visas. We know they want to be helpful, we just need them understand that timing is everything. #releasethevisas
There are only 0.6 workers available for every 1 job opening. The #H2B program is part of the solution to addressing this labor gap. Congress needs to permanently fix the program by passing #HR3897 or #S2443. The delay proves that Congress must take ownership of this crisis.
Many who have not been in the business world do not understand this. If you give up a contract you don't just get it back the next year when you have workers. The customer has moved on to a new contractor. This contract is likely lost for good. #releasethevisas
It is April 21st and @DHSGov still has yet to #releasethevisas. Employers needed their workers on April 1st and every day the rule publication is delayed means forfeited contracts, lost contracts and overworked American workers. What is the hold up @DHSgov@USDOL?
@SEA_labor@DHSgov Loosing business everyday!!
Quote from my customer who has to deal w services being reduced bc we don't have our workforce.. "so sorry for what you are having to deal with! You do it legally and now there are roadblocks. yet thousands of illegals are allowed in w no penalties"
