@SF_Montgomery I just like to remember why I started writing. I was a kid, & I only did it for me because *I* liked what I was creating! & I knew nothing about the world of publishing & journals & rejection. I like to do an “unknowing” to get back to that space when I feel discouraged.

@heatherchristle The old paper smell and worn carpet. Collecting piles of books with my mom and sitting down to narrow our piles to a few each. The crinkly plastic book covers. Renting musicals on video tape — especially Gigi. Getting my first library card and feeling so proud!
