@archivedself I get nothing but โfineโ if I ask my kids about school (I still ask though ๐), but I get more with follow-ups like โwhat were the three best bits?โ โAnything weird happen?โ โWhat made you laugh today?โ
@HertsSid My parents are there now and I did a whole polite phone call before they left, asking after house keys, watering their plants, caring for grandma etc, before I could swoop in and request some chocolate, ahem, โfor their grandsonsโ ๐
@ellegist First one, hospital, straightforward, home the same day. Second one, at home, straightforward, afterwards had tea & bagels with the midwives and they made my bed for me - winner! Got some cute kids at the end of it too! ๐
@MartinSLewis ยฃ5 each per week, into their bank accts for basic household chores of setting/clearing table and keeping their rooms tidy (although the teen & I have different opinions on tidiness ๐). Extra can be earned for bigger chores. Plus 50p per commendation from school! (Sons 14 & 10)
@solonglunden I took it out of the library in the late 90s when I was in my teens and it blew my mind ๐ Not a single adult had a clue about the content!
@afcbournemouth Iโm sure every woman watching relates to the anxiety that sets in as it gets dark - our worlds become smaller and less safe. Great video and an important message
@christinacarl09@clhubes Ha! My eldest son (now a cool 14yr old) fixated on โcars falling the waterโ and made us watch that segment with Finn McMissile relentlessly. Youngest son watched it last week and Cars 2 is actually a great film!
@Sal_Robins Yes definitely - Iโve talked about this lots with my friends from my teens. The daft things we did and vulnerable positions we put ourselves in. BUT it was the best of times too - and virtually no incriminating evidence except a few disposable camera photos to show for it!
@BLAIMGame The local Tesco cordoning off the fresh produce aisle - you could ask a member of staff for a maximum of 2 pieces of fruit or veg (while they were also promoting their 3 for 2 offer!)
@Julietthebat I take it back - literally just watching In the Shadow of Two Gunmen part 1 & 2 now, and those are my favourite. High drama interspersed with the nostalgia of how the team were brought onto the campaign - so flipping good. Def my favourite programme ever too!
@shawzac@Fortnums Sounds like an almighty error of judgement by the @Fortnums PR team. Wonder whether the Paralympic athletes ever even crossed their minds?
@JayStoneUK Yep, willing to throw women, girl and minorities under the bus to prove a point.
Our system isnโt perfect, but a multiple parties to choose from, all holding each other to account, has to be better than a tribal polarised 2 horse race (plus the electoral college thing is nuts!)
"What in god's name is happening right now? ... he's a 34 count convicted felon and adjudicated rapist ... he brags about sexual assault. He mocks the disabled " - @BradleyWhitford in Madison warms up for Walz and Obama by making the case against Trump - & he DOES NOT mince words
@10Yetis Iโve had two Nike fanatics say the London and NYC flagships were pretty shopfronts but with little there, poor variety and stock levels. When eager consumers go with money to burn and leave underwhelmed, something isnโt working
