Dwarf goats provide food to other goats, and donors without egoistic motivations do so for longer than non-egoistic subjects.

Genuine altruism is probably very rare - even most altruistic behaviours in humans are usually accompanied by a selfish goal. E.g. "I help my neighbours because I like them. But also because I know they will help me next time I need help"

But yes, definetely worth to dive deeper into this to find out whether pushing would persist after several sessions and a longer period!
