Two-time world champion Mika Hakkinen has warned that Formula 1 teams risk 'being crucified' by the sport's fans if they implement team orders in an attempt to influence this year's title battle 🗣️
@russellkfwn I very often hear about this 'stai calmo' and Giorgio, but I never really understood the gist of the whole story. Could you briefly tell me about it if it's not too much trouble?
@uruptosmth@D07Sd I remember that last year at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Oscar was also replaced during the first practice session — he was replaced by Patricio O'Ward. Even though Oscar was a title contender... I suspect that Mercedes will do the exact same thing with George this year...
Ах эта базовая женская потребность забрать Джорджа и Оскара от их долбаебских тип принципалов и создать новую сильную команду с равным здоровым отношением к моим бубочкам
@russtappened Unfortunately, not anymore — the team still hasn't decided where to change George's PU, they'll probably drag it out until the end of the season...
What are they even thinking...
@Avinashtweets12@Doctor__Russell@0NETWONELLI@SophieC442332 He should? How, exactly? Every race, it's something new with the car. Five races in a row, and they still can't sort out the energy deployment on the straights. How's anyone supposed to score points when the thing can't even launch properly?
Never practiced this before? Excuse me? What is this — a satire theatre, a comedy club, or a serious team? Though judging by what they're saying, their acting is terrible.
But what am I even saying — a circus band and the Mercedes team are pretty much the same thing.
Q: why didn't you think about giving George OM?
A: we had a debate - keeping him in OM will give George 2 tenths!! but it's not something we've rehearsed before🥺 and he'll get dirty air🥺 so we decided to forgo it from him, but he kept P3, bravo! we didn't think he would🤷♂️

Do I really need to remind you what happened just a lap or two after that move? And how is that even comparable? Overtaking a car with a broken front wing that's losing 0.6 seconds a lap?
@uruptosmth They put George in dirty air, robbed him of a chance for OT, AND on top of that, they helped Ferrari get closer at the first turn themselves. Disgrace, Mercedes
@MercedesAMGF1@akkodis_global Oh yes, Mercedes, so brilliant — you pretend that strategy saved your double podium. You said it would save time — for Kimi only, I suppose? You claimed the double podium was your priority, yet you hung George out to dry. You didn't even expect him to get third.
@MercedesAMGF1 Wait a minute, doesn't it seem to you that George's car in this photo is Photoshopped? Why are the shadows falling so unnaturally? And the edges of the left wheel look badly cropped.
Surprising that George’s pace was better before the Safety Car. Mercedes likely pitted Kimi, not George, because they knew Ferrari would eat him alive — defence isn’t his strength. Still, leaving George out there like that felt like a mad, risky call.
