@RobertJenrick@thetimes@jon_sparkes@crisis_uk What a nerve! The same useless ex housing secretary commenting on ending homelessness when he has caused and created risk of further homelessness by doing nothing to help those stuck in apartment blocks with flammable cladding over 2 years in since the building safety bill! 🤡
@DJ25131875 it’s infancy. This will be a 30 year struggle eg Hillsborough. Currently you have freedom. Once you buy leasehold you’ll be trapped & EWS1s constantly subject to change. Once you exchange on a leasehold you’ll have less rights than if you bought a toaster. Don’t ruin your life.
@DJ25131875 You’ve been smart here, coming directly to people affected by EWS1 on the other side. In my experience you should run 100 miles from both leasehold & EWS1. Even if it means renting for longer. Leasehold is rife for financial abuse & the building safety scandal is still in 1/2
Cladding Scandal
Viewed a brand new flat today well over 20m.
No sprinklers when current bldg regs require now over 11m for new.
Developer says not required as drawings pre 2020. Also timber screens.
Queue of people to buy.
Hey @bbcquestiontime! You had TWO housing ministers on #bbcqt last night & there were NO questions about #BuildingSafetyCrisis?! Are you kidding me?! PEOPLE ARE IN REAL DANGER & @RobertJenrick@mhclg are ALLOWING it to happen in favour of their billionaire donators. Shame on you.
Shame on you @ballymore@BorisJohnson@RobertJenrick@mhclg. Cannot imagine how scared the people living here must be and how triggering this will also be for survivors of other preventable fires caused only by greed, incompetence and inaction. .@Conservatives your wake up call.
I feel sick.
A wheelchair bound l'holder is having to crowdfund an evacuation chair so she doesn't burn to death in her home...how long are you going to let this go on @BorisJohnson@RishiSunak? Or does disabled ppl perishing suit you?

Today's vote on amendments to the #FireSafetyBill are not about who pays. That will come later.
Today's vote is simply about protecting the only 100% innocent party - leaseholders - from ruinous costs.
It shouldn't be a hard choices @Conservatives#BuildingSafetyCrisis
@canalcarrie Totally agree. I would advise anyone not to touch anything remotely new. We have a massive crisis now, it’s going to be significantly larger in x years time when these new builds start falling apart.
There is no incentive to build a good home, it’s the opposite.
Are you caught up in the cladding crisis after using Help to Buy or Shared Ownership to get on the property ladder? I’d love to hear from you if so #journorequests#claddingscandal
