Mark Carney studders a new $3.2B plan to use your tax dollars to buy up vacant, overpriced condos that developers can’t sell.💸A third of these units cost over $1M. While ordinary families can't afford rent, the state steps in to rescue rich investors. Absolute policy failure🚨🇨🇦
So they build thousands of new condos in Vancouver priced at levels nobody in their right mind can afford, and now they figure out that’s the reason they’re not selling. Now Big Daddy says no problem, Canada will buy them. It was their own development fees and permits that priced potential homeowners out of the condo market. Neither the Carney govt. or Eby’s NDP, are smart enough to build housing.
@gator_gum Aren’t you glad Carney jumped in and saved those developers in Vancouver from having to lower their prices to sell their condos? Such a wonderful lifesaver Prime Minister… we definitely don’t want housing prices to go down do we? Taxpayers are good for something, yeah Liberals
"Developers are stuck. They don't want sell at a loss." - @MarkJCarney
Developers have options:
▪️Keep empty
▪️Convert to rental
▪️Lower prices
And so what if they sell at a loss? That's the game.
Why should Canadian taxpayers bail out homebuilders?
Mark Carney. Condo bailout. Public record.
📌 $3B to buy vacant condos developers won’t discount
📌 4,376 empty units in Vancouver - 76% jump year over year
📌 A third cost over $1 million
📌 Carney holds $6.8M USD Brookfield options
📌 Brookfield embedded in Canadian real estate and infrastructure
📌 Zero conflict of interest investigation
📌 Zero CBC inquiry
📌 Zero opposition from Liberal commentators
Imagine the headlines if Harper’s name was on this file.

🚨THIS SHOULD SCARE EVERYONE🚨
While Prime Minister Carney deepens Canada’s partnership with the UK — including co-developing “nation-building digital public infrastructure” and aligning on child safety — the UK just ordered Apple and Google to install scanning software on every phone and computer sold in the country.
Not an app. Not social media. On the device itself. Your camera. Your photos. Your messages. Scanned before they can even be encrypted.
Signal — one of the most trusted privacy companies on Earth — called it exactly what it is: “invisible surveillance infrastructure switched on by default.”
The government’s excuse? Protecting children.
But here’s the part that should terrify every Canadian:
The same law requires the Prime Minister’s personal sign-off to spy on a politician… while ordinary citizens get zero protection and no opt-out.
Once this infrastructure exists, history shows the scope never shrinks. Today it’s “nudity.” Tomorrow it’s whatever the government decides is a threat — including political speech.
Carney’s Liberals already rammed through their own censorship and backdoor bills before vanishing for summer. Now they’re actively aligning Canada with the exact UK model that’s turning every citizen’s pocket into a government listening post.
This isn’t about child safety. It’s about control.
They always sell it as “common sense” and “for your own protection.”
Until it’s not.
Canada First means rejecting the surveillance state before it’s installed by default in every Canadian device.
We don’t need invisible backdoors. We don’t need government scanning our private lives. And we sure as hell don’t need to import the UK’s authoritarian tech agenda.

And in case there is any confusion
Not a single person or company in the world wants to buy these condos, because they are WAY overpriced
So taxpayers are the suckers paying peak prices for Vancouver condos so Carney’s buddies can keep their profit
This is insane
Why is our government overpaying for Vancouver condos so Carney’s builder friends can avoid selling for a loss
When thousands of average Canadians have to sell their homes for a loss today
Because this government prioritizes Bay Street profits over Canadian households
If you cannot afford your mortgage renewal, Carney will not save you.
But if developers cannot sell overpriced condos, suddenly Ottawa finds billions.
That is not housing policy.
It is elite welfare paid for by working Canadians.
Why should taxpayers rescue bad business decisions?
So, a bunch of wealthy investors make a shit investment.
And they're facing the risk of having to sell these properties on the cheap.
They'd lose money. The price of housing would come down.
But Carney's swooping in to protect their money (on our dime) and keep costs up.
@TheBuckYouWill Canada's previous Parliamentary Budget Officer Jason Jacques got fired for saying the same thing. Kudos to the new PBO for not bowing down to the Carney authoritarian government.
THE P.B.O. IS WARNING OF THE COLLAPSE OF CANADA…
…and no one seems to care.
Liberal appointed budget watchdog warns Carney's overspending will collapse Canada.
THIS IS KIND OF A BIG DEAL.
(We might want to pay attention!!)
@Bratt_world@DRodbone Shows the incredible power TDS has over socialists… voting for the Party of open corruption, which is bankrupting our children’s country, passing bills without debate censoring us and destroying privacy and free speech because of what you THINK someone might do… lol 🙉🙈😵💫😵💫💋
@LauraBabcock Interesting how you jump on this possibility but not a peep from you when and about the Peoples Republic of China CCP interference that benefited and was hidden from Canadians by the Liberal Party of Canada. Still buried by Carney/Trudeau and the rest of the Liberal Cabal too 🙉
@Bratt_world Iiberal government should just raise our taxes on everything we make and everything we buy. Then we wouldn’t have to sell our oil, minerals, or other natural resources to anyone. They’re heading in that direction anyway… might as well do it faster 😁
