@md_frost The goal of training family physicians is to train them to be the best generalist they can be and that involves being broad scope spanning clinic, ED, and in-patient settings.
This broad scope is encouraged in rural, but in urban, this is not possible–causing focused practice.
@NephJC I had a hard time wrapping my head why there were no renal benefits at all in FINEARTS? Is it because the baseline risk was low to begin with? But, about 40% of the study population had DM and 47% had eGFR<60.
Journalism isn't free and without it I shudder to think where we would be as a country. In terms of health care, journalists have been absolutely invaluable in holding governments to account.
@AndreMansoor Thanks for the walkthrough. Wondering if you find the total ascitic fluid protein to be useful? Generally if greater than 25 g/L, less likely to be cirrhosis, and narrow it down to cardiac vs. thrombotic.
