Several years ago, I went #kayaking out to some #icebergs that were near the Island. It was early morning and the fog rolled in thick as pea soup and it was a surreal experience. It was flat calm and eerily quiet. I got some amazing photographs, like this one!

Newfoundlanders remember that on this morning in 1916 in only 20 minutes 80% of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment lay dead or dying in the Battle of Beaumont Hamel. These young men gave their lives so that we could live in a free country. LEST WE FORGET.
