SOLOMON INVESTMENT MEMO (solana:SoLo9oxzLDpcq1dpqAgMwgce5WqkRDtNXK7EPnbmeta)
TLDR
@solomon_labs is building the infrastructure RWA issuers need to distribute income and manage eligibility as their assets move through DeFi. USDv’s planned September launch and partner rollout provide a near term catalyst. With SOLO priced close to its last reported adjusted treasury NAV, the market assigns little value to the platform’s commercial potential.
CATALYST
Ten months of business development are set to culminate in USDv’s launch and a coordinated series of partner announcements over the coming weeks.
USDv is the platform’s first product: a dollar designed to earn while remaining usable in DeFi, without staking, wrappers or a separate yield token. Eligible LPs can earn yield on their USDv inventory alongside trading fees.
UPSIDE
1. USDv becomes the productive dollar of DeFi. Solana alone holds over $16B in stablecoins. USDv can compete for working balances in liquidity pools, collateral and treasuries by rewarding eligible users while their capital remains usable. Apps and other businesses can earn a share of the yield generated by USDv balances they attract, giving them a reason to promote it.
2. Solomon becomes essential infrastructure for RWA issuers. Potential customers include issuers of stablecoins, tokenized funds and equities; each with income to distribute and eligibility rules to enforce. USDv gives Solomon a way to prove the technology in production and build integrations other issuers can reuse. Successful execution could turn one product into infrastructure serving many issuers and asset classes, with a business far larger than USDv alone.
VALUATION
SOLO provides ownership exposure through its MetaDAO structure. The price of approximately $0.71 compares with $0.68 adjusted treasury NAV. On that adjusted NAV basis, investors are paying little for the operating business
People look for linear progress. With solana:SoLo9oxzLDpcq1dpqAgMwgce5WqkRDtNXK7EPnbmeta , I think we’re watching months of quiet turn into an explosion of activity. Ten months of building and lining up partners are now starting to come out in the rollout. I don’t think people have caught up with how different this business could look a few months from now.
The edge is being able to picture something before it’s there. I think USDv becoming a leading Solana native stablecoin with hundreds of millions in TVL is a probable outcome. Yet until last week, most of the conversation still seemed stuck on whether they’d finally launch.
A dollar that rewards users while they put it to work in defi gives people a reason to use it. The partnerships being rolled out show that the team has been executing at a high level behind the scenes, and I expect that momentum to continue once the product is live.
And becoming a major stablecoin is only the first ambition. Other issuers can pay to use the same infrastructure behind their own assets. If both sides work, I can see hundreds of millions in FDV, potentially $1B+
That’s the business I’m backing with solana:SoLo9oxzLDpcq1dpqAgMwgce5WqkRDtNXK7EPnbmeta
Have always been a fan of stablecoins that use the blockchain elegantly
In the past we seeded a project called fluidity that was able to do similar things with their stable but I think it was just too early
Idea is your stables can be anywhere (in an amm, in your wallet, in a limit order, etc.) but they should still always be earning interest without the "price" of them being weird
like staked usd products tick up but who wants to have a dollar thats worth $1.31 and then $1.33 a few months later. Very hard to reason with.
So just use your dollars as you would and claim the interest elsewhere. Can be interesting for projects like jup as they could make a rev share agreement for all the usdv users put in their pools.
Got a small bag as it was trading around the original metadao launch price
Raydium commits an initial $1,000,000 of its treasury to USDv.
The first step in a broader partnership, with Raydium becoming USDv’s primary liquidity venue and supporting USDv pairs across its markets and launchpads.
USDv launches tomorrow.

Today marks the kickoff towards public launch. Over the coming days, we’ll be announcing the partners and integrations we’ve spent months building toward.
@Abbasshaikh and @kru_tweets were the first founders I spoke with after Solomon launched through MetaDAO. Since then, we’ve had many conversations about what becomes possible when privacy and productive dollars come together.
This is only the beginning.
What will become increasingly obvious is the @MetaDAOProject ecosystem’s ability to compound its own network effects, with companies built here becoming partners, customers, and distribution for one another.
But that dynamic extends far beyond MetaDAO. @solana has spent years fostering a culture where ambitious teams actively help one another win. None of what we’re building would be possible without that foundation. Over the coming days, you’ll see how some of Solana’s largest protocols and institutions fit into the picture.
The flywheel is just starting to turn.
The stablecoin market is moving toward the architecture we’ve already built.
CLARITY passing is now a real possibility. The latest draft retains a path for rewards tied to qualifying activity, with the details to be figured out via rule making.
If you’re an issuer/distributor, you need to be able to explain why someone received a reward. What did they do to earn it? Were they eligible? Which rules governed the payment?
A vault or staking contract can make sense for a specific economic arrangement. Issuers are dealing with an asset that moves between wallets, liquidity pools, collateral positions and payment applications. The commercial relationship changes with the context, and the rules can differ by user and jurisdiction.
That’s a lot to build around a fixed onchain arrangement, especially if it adds smart contract risk to users’ principal.
We built Solomon so issuers can define those relationships directly. They can choose which activities to reward, apply eligibility restrictions, determine who receives the economics and adjust those policies as circumstances change.
Our policy engine runs offchain without requiring changes to the issuer’s existing issuance contracts. Adjusting a reward program doesn’t require moving users principal into another contract or changing the asset’s existing integrations.
For issuers/distributors, this is a much more defensible setup and one that can adapt. A reward can be tied to a specific activity and an explicit policy. Counsel can evaluate the basis for the payment, and the issuer can implement that advice and make adjustments without disrupting the asset itself.
This is already one of the reasons partners are choosing Solomon.
Over time, those policy sets can also become reusable, supported by legal opinions. Each adopter can build on the work already done, reducing repeated legal and technical effort.
USDv is our first application. In parallel, we’re onboarding other issuers and distributors who want the same control over their assets economics.
There’s a chance our launch coincides with CLARITY becoming law.
You have to be in the arena before the opening appears.
