Products with a ton of aum and a ton of retail volume are the two most important groups to optimize for.

Phantom/pump/fomo/jup/kamino >>> validators or devs or market makers or core engineers.

FWIW, eth foundation has done a decent job at optimizing for aave, because the inability to land a transaction due to an outage or congestion would break aave.
