Hier, Amadou Vamoulke a été condamné à 20 ans de prison pour détournement de fonds après 178 renvois. Cette affaire reste un mystère pour moi. Il a d'abord été accusé d'avoir détourné 16 milliards de francs CFA, qui ont étonnamment été réduits à seulement 2 milliards dans le jugement. Ce montant représente en réalité des créances impayées dues à la CRTV, remontant à son prédécesseur !
Le comptable de l'entreprise, suivant la pratique standard, a classé ces factures impayées comme des mauvaises créances rien à voir avec Vamoulke ! Même les Nations Unies ont appelé à sa libération.
Je connais Amadou personnellement ; lorsqu'il a rejoint la CRTV, il a réduit son propre salaire et ses avantages et a drastiquement diminué les l’enveloppe des membres du conseil d'administration. Son ancien collègue, Alain Massé, ancien directeur de RFI, l'a qualifié de "Monsieur Propre des Médias Publics", notant qu'il optait pour des hôtels 2 étoiles tandis que d'autres séjournaient dans des hébergements de luxe.
J'ai parlé avec l'ancien président de la Commission Indépendante des Marchés à la CRTV, qui a loué la transparence et l'intégrité de Vamoulke, affirmant qu'il ne s'impliquait jamais dans les questions d'approvisionnement. Son processus de recrutement était également solide et transparent.
En plus de la position des Nations Unies, il a reçu le soutien de nombreuses organisations professionnelles et de droits de l'homme dans plus de 40 pays. Je suis à la fois stupéfait et bouleversé par la destruction de la vie d'un homme décent et honnête surtout lorsque, dans le même pays, des individus corrompus affichent ouvertement des milliards obtenus par des pots-de-vin obtenu du corrupteur en chef avoué, Glencore.
