@colin_dunlap Unfortunately, the billionaire class has met this call for higher taxes as unfair. I feel like they’re concessions resentment will continue to grow. See Homestead strike, but on a larger scale.

@colin_dunlap I was taught that there was a gilded age where a large amount of wealth ended up in the hands of a few in the late 1800s. People began to resent that and discontent rose. In response, the wealthy went to great lengths to repair their image by investing back in their community
