Lauren Harris (ST5) is now the most junior trainee who has clipped an aneurysm under my supervision. CN2 and ICA exposure, some of the fissure split and neck dissection..with me mostly getting in the way. Definitely a future vascular/skull base Neurosurgeon! #RomfordNeurosurgery

@DanielPriestley If we score this by the quality of life index by country, its Luxembourg. By city it's, the Hague. Overall Luxemberg, Netherlands and Switzerland score quite high.
@rickygervais I was 13 when this came out. My dad paid me to take a load of roof tiles to the top of the scaffolding when he re-tiled our roof. Health and safety wasn't at the forefront of his mind.
@hubermanlab@PeteOSullivanPT and discuss this. He has spent years studying this and debunking some common myths about "core strength" and posture: https://t.co/9ZVi4Jwm12
@PeterAttiaMD@drstuartmcgill I recently had the pleasure of interviewing @drstuartmcgill on my YouTube channel discussing the spine from both his and a surgeons perspective. Due out next week. See bio for channel link.

I am strongly opposed to mandatory research in residency training-it contributes zero to a surgeon’s clinical acumen or maturity. I am also blessed to work in an open minded academic environment where my “heretic” opinion on this subject is respected and not used against me.
The truth about "manipulations" or "adjustments". They can be helpful in the acute phase but it's what you do thereafter that matters. At The Spine MDT we work together under the oversight of a Spine surgeon to decide if this is right for you and safe.
If you asked me about greatest change over the 40 years I worked in the NHS I would say the loss of consultant autonomy. The horrifying story of the baby-murders at Chester and the management’s refusal to listen to the doctors is a ghastly culmination of this process.
