Russia features in my WIP technothriller, but they're tamer in my book than recent events have revealed them to be IRL. I guess I can pretend that in the 40-odd years until the book's timeline, Russia gets a few not-totally-insane leaders. I can only hope for that IRL, too.

Watching a tragedy unfold in slow motion and it’s breaking my heart. Ukraine is fighting so hard but Russian military doctrine doesn’t care about casualties the way the West does. Russian military ineptitude is more than made up for by numbers. Putin's pride means no withdrawal.
