The #Eagles and veteran TE Dallas Goedert have agreed to terms on a 1-year deal to keep him in Philly, per me and @MikeGarafolo.
The long-time Eagles and Super Bowl champion, whose status has been in limbo, is back for a ninth season.
#Eagles and Dallas Goedert agreed to push back the void date that was set to go into effect last night at midnight -- and would trigger about $20.5M in dead money for 2026 -- to Friday, NFL sources confirmed @zberm's initial report.
So Goedert has yet to hit free agency for the first time in his career. The two extra days could give the Eagles and the TE additional time to work out a contract and a return for a ninth season in Philly.
Goedert wants to finish his career here and the team has financial incentive for bringing back one of core pieces of their offense.
The #Chargers will be releasing veteran G Mekhi Becton, per @JFowlerESPN.
The former Super Bowl champion with the #Eagles started 14 games in his one year with Los Angeles.

I genuinely donβt care this season wasnβt fun to consume for a single second. Very fitting ending for an offense full of losers.
We can only pray change is coming.
.@danorlovsky7 believes Jalen Hurts is being OVERLY criticized right now π
"It's still crazy to have the quarterback in the NFL right now, who's fourth in touchdowns, have his job security in question."
Steelers and CB Darius Slay have mutually agreed to part ways, Slayβs agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey told ESPN. Slay is interested in continuing to play, and will consider signing with other teams. But his time in Pittsburgh has come to an end.
