@IsaacCohen8@Mr_Andrew_Fox@DrChrisParry I've lived in London for 20 years and have no idea what you're talking about.
What data or evidence has led you to believe this? Have you ever been to London?
@BriannaWu Thanks @BriannaWu - your unsubstantiated emotional outbursts based on pure conjecture always say more than any evidence or actual information ever could
@koshercockney@Wikipedia Why? The page accurately describes conditions before Israel bowed to international pressure and commercial food truck access and emergency aid corridors expanded significantly. @MaxNordau wants to revise history as usual
@MaxNordau "But there was obviously never anything close to starvation in Gaza" - you need to show this @MaxNordau, not just state it as though it were a fact. Misrepresenting UN reports and pretending the IPC area-level threshold is based on starvation deaths only isn't sufficient
@koshercockney It's literally saying the presence of overweight children is due to poor diet and nutrient deficiency, not having too much food.
The report also says only 22.4% of children receive a minimum acceptable diet and 12.2% suffer from chronic malnutrition - why not mention that?
@eureka0042@Aizenberg55 You obviously haven't read that report either - the low rate is sustained by the increase in emergency food aid, which is necessary because conditions in Gaza are such that there would otherwise be a significant chance if life threatening weight-loss, unlike Germany and Finland.
@eureka0042@Aizenberg55 Ok that's something different lol.
Have you read the report mate? Do you believe that it's writers conclude that obesity because of overconsumption is a problem among Gazan children?
@eureka0042@Aizenberg55 Well according to the formula @Aizenberg55 used in his post it may mean that the Gaza City area did tip over the area-level famine threshold; at the least, it would make it more understandable why it was predicted to do so. But the point is his post is inaccurate.
@eureka0042@Aizenberg55 Because IPC phase 5 area-level famine was only declared in the Gaza City area - @Aizenberg55 seems to have used the maximum upper limit estimate of the population at that time.
But he's got the calculation wrong - I don't think he understands what he's saying
@HonestReporting IPC area-level 5 famine was declared in the Gaza City area, not all of Gaza. The IPC threshold is based on all non-trauma excess deaths, not just deaths directly attributed to starvation as @HonestReporting claims
@Aizenberg55 IPC area-level 5 famine was declared in the Gaza City area, not all of Gaza. The IPC threshold is based on all non-trauma excess deaths, not just deaths directly attributed to starvation as the poster claims
@MikeRouah@grok@MarioNawfal OP: Are the Jewish people the only people indigenous to the land now known as modern Israel?
Grok: No
OP: Ok, well if you use this very non-standard, highly politisized and ideologically informed definition of indigeneity, are they the only indigenous people?
@sqlblues@adamemedia1 When and by whom? What evidence supports broadly characterising all of Palestinian society in this way? You presumably would reject the claim that Ben-Gvir speaks for all Israelis, why apply a different standard to Palestinians?
@sqlblues@adamemedia1 Nope. They initially denied there were any troops in the area, though this claim was contradicted by subsequent forensic investigation by the Washington Post and others.
The IDF admitted its forces fired on the vehicle for the first time last week.

@DavidM_Friedman Where does the data come from that shows the population of Gaza has increased throughout the conflict? I've seen this claimed many times but haven't seen a source
@sqlblues@SayWhatYerLike@EylonALevy The Oslo Accords would have given Israel temporary administrative control of the land not designate it as state land - Israel did this unilaterally. Also I think you're referring to Camp David in 2000 - the Taba talks around Oslo were in 2001 and ended with the election of Sharon
