Here is our Mission Statement, fully-defining our movement to end all forms of systemic racism in our school community. We are not directly affiliated with @cghsnc, instead we hope to provide the outside push needed for permanent change at our alma mater and across the country.
Thank you to all who showed up to our first Community Conversations. Shoutout to our moderator Mr. Clay Thomas! We will be posting the session for those who did not make it but wanted to view. There will be more events in the future. Become comfortable with being uncomfortable!🖤
🗣Our first Gibbons alumni Community Conversations event is happening THIS SUNDAY 11/22 from 2-2:45pm. An anti-racism, COVID-safe “article book club”📚 Links to the sign-up and article (~1 hour read) are both in our bio - hope to see you there!!

We also apologize for the delay in sending out these updates as our organizers balance work and school. If any other Gibbons alumni feel passionate about this and would like to help us organize and update in the future, please reach out via DM! With love, the ARA 💚 (7/7)
Big moves from Equity & Justice Task Force leader Ms. Zaldivar!! Though the E&J account is pending, she has been providing some great updates from the Gibbons Chorus account. We are very grateful for her initiative and passion for this cause💚
Opening schools this fall when there is no proper control of COVID or adequate funding for health guidelines will disproportionately affect the Black and Brown students of @WCPSS. #BlackLivesMatter and #BlackStudentsMatter...CHOOSE PLAN C!!
The loss of Congressman John Lewis is profoundly felt by the civil rights community and beyond. His courageous leadership and commitment to justice will be deeply missed. https://t.co/4tjfsZ7CxM
