During Scott Brown’s time in the Senate (2010–2013), Americans were already under attack:
- Iran’s Quds Force plot (2011) in Washington, D.C.
- Iran-backed militias in Iraq killing U.S. troops with EFP bombs
- Hezbollah terror attacks abroad
So if Iran has been an “imminent threat” for decades, why didn’t Senator Brown introduce a declaration of war when he had the chance?

Because it looks like Congress is too chickenshit to put their own names on war and would rather let the President own it.

Our Chairman @DanMcKnight30 asked a simple question about war powers to a former and possibly future United States Senator.

He fumbled the answer, misquoted the Constitution, called it a “Freudian slip” (meaning he said the quiet part out loud), and then admitted Congress doesn’t have the stones to declare war and own that decision.

They’d rather send Americans to fight and die while they hide behind the President’s authority.

That’s not constitutional government.
That’s cowardice.
