Using clay, P5 were able to carve their own Viking tune during outdoor learning with Under the Trees.

We started our new topic, The Vikings. We were able to explore different resources and books to find out what we wanted to learn.

Phil from the Greenhill Historical Society visited our class this morning to tell us about the industries there used to be in Bonnybridge. We enjoyed hearing about the metal work and looking at the boot jack made in the foundry. @RightsPs

We were learning how to use descriptive language to up level our writing. We created word banks of adjectives, adverbs, similes and sentence openers to use in our writing.

We were learning about different types of bridges today. First we predicted and tested beam and arch bridges to see what would hold the most Lego. Then we used our problem solving skills to design and build our own bridge that could hold a cup of marbles. #antoSTEM

This week we were learning how a boat floats. We created boats using plasticine and tested them to see how well they would float. We had to use our problem solving skills to modify our boats to hold more marbles. #antoSTEM
