We tried some campfire bananas today (which were mostly a hit), to say goodbye to a group from @stbernadettesps. Lots of good teamwork achieved over the block. Looking forward to meeting the new group after Easter.

We had great fun with @anto_p5 on Tuesday. To link in with their topic on the Vikings, we created maps, completed a quest using #vikingrunes, made model boats with the loose parts to try and 'cross the Atlantic without drowning' and finally made our own Rune stone with clay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our last outdoor learning session with Under the Trees today. We used loose parts to build places in Bonnybridge, the canal and Falkirk wheel, explored Scottish wildlife skulls and enjoyed a cosy campfire with toasted marshmallows. @uttjess

Judith and Heather really enjoyed being back at @antonine01 today. Today marks the first day of the RSPB Big Schools Birdwatch so we were familiarising ourselves with different birds. We measured their wingspan on the ground. We warmed up with hot juice & made bird feeders too.

Our fourth and final session with ⁦@uttjess⁩. We used loose parts working in groups to create a variety of things. Created Christmas tree decorations with sticks and ribbons and used loose parts to create a sleigh.

Well done P7, you aced the badger quiz! Most of you enjoyed exploring the skulls & had a good guess at what animals they were! You also had fun exploring how squirrels help with seed dispersal and how planting and other biodiversity activities help create wildlife corridors! 🐿️🐝
