Sat in a room yesterday with government ministries, UN agencies, High Court judges & CSOs talking GBV & gender statistics — and I was the youngest person there
I had the privilege of representing @warmheartsug at the @Mglsd_UG national-level GBV & Gender Statistics workshop
Have you ever wondered whether your email has been hacked without you knowing it? 👀
I checked mine on haveibeenpwned and discovered one had appeared in a data breach
That made our first training under the digital safety project I’m leading at @warmheartsug even more relevant
Today, we held meaningful learning & discussions on online GBV & technology-facilitated GBV (TFGBV). We convened a community of practice-bringing together #journalists, #practitioners, and other stakeholders-to explore strategies for staying safe online. #clicksafe

A child may look perfectly healthy, but measles can attack without warning. 💉
As part of my role as a WHO volunteer, I’m helping amplify important immunization messages. Complete both measles vaccine doses at 9 & 18 months for full protection. 🇺🇬

I don’t understand this logic
If a woman’s value supposedly decreases because she has slept with a man, what does that say about the men involved?
Why is the woman considered “less valuable” after the same act, while the man’s value remains untouched?
This isn’t about morality
@ronnieagabajr Don’t lie to yourself. God’s standards are very clear in regard to homosexuality. God never made anyone gay, he only made male & female. If he really did predestine gay people, there would be genetic evidence to prove it just like he made XX (Women) & XY (Males).
As a @WHOUganda Online Volunteer on the Ebola Risk Communication & Community Engagement Digital Campaign, I am proud to amplify this message from the @MinofHealthUG
Uganda has one of Africa’s strongest public health systems — built to detect, respond, and protect.
Every dawn in Kampala, the city exhales smoke before it breathes light
Thousands of women light charcoal stoves to prepare the first meal of the day
They fan the black embers. The air thickens with a poison everyone knows too well
They continue because there’s little choice
@Chiomabtq Yes very much so. Even when you apply for a job in a bank, those details can come out especially when you defaulted. It can cost you a job. I’ve seen it happen.
