I'm incredibly proud of this milestone: we took a proof of concept and turned it into an automated, deployable system. Leading this project has been a repeating cycle of facing obstacles, then being blown away by the team's innovation and tenacity, knocking them all down.
@engineering_joy Tiger Spice Chai from Coupa was a favorite of mine. Still in the Bay, so can easily get it, but something about that walk to Y2E2 between experiments is what I miss.
@JasmineKwasa@BWFUND Sorry to hear this! I had to miss mine because I was on maternity leave at the time. Hopefully with zoom being more common there are still ways to incorporate you. I felt I missed out on a great community bc of this missed opportunity.
Today's episode is out!
Tune in to hear from Dr. Edward Grow (@ControllingLMNT) at @UTSWNews.
He talks about his #ReproductiveBiology research, including embryonic genome activation 🧬and ex vivo culturing of follicles and oocytes. 🥚

@GlorifiedLabRat I was an SSRP leader 2011-2013 and they were some of my favorite memories of grad school. Followed some of this years cohort when I saw them on my feed!
How does the genome awaken? The Grow lab is recruiting a postdoc 4 embryonic genome activation (EGA) and chromatin projects. A mol. biologist ➡️ repro or someone w/ repro experience ➡️genomics is ideal. We use ESC, embryos, single-cell approaches, and epigenomics. Plz retweet!
