A father who walks into a horror show is given no empathy, and then is accused of being responsible for the murders. That’s where the culture is at re: men and boys.
I believe society has a persistent double standard when it comes to holding women accountable for their actions. We give women a level of compassion and grace that we rarely give men.
We see this clearly in cases like Lindsay Clancy’s. A mother murders her children, and the dominant public reaction is sympathy like “Oh, that poor woman. What happened to her?” while the same crime committed by a man gets none of that reaction.
We see it in the UK, where authorities are phasing out juvenile prisons for girls (but not for boys) on the grounds that girls who commit crimes are primarily dealing with emotional and mental-health issues. Why is that same understanding not applied to boys?
We see it here in the States where men receive 60%+ jail time for the same crimes committed by a woman.
We see it when a woman decides she isn’t ready to become a mother and ends the pregnancy. Society largely accepts this as an acceptable choice. But we show far less compassion for a man who doesn’t feel ready to become a father.
We see it in dating and relationships: women are encouraged to keep traditional expectations of men and are told they “deserve standards.” Men who voice comparable preferences are demonized for them.
I could go on and on. I believe we need to start holding women to the same standards of accountability we already apply to men.
Black activists rallying around Karmelo Anthony. Leftists celebrating Charlie Kirk’s murder. Women forming fan clubs for Lindsay Clancy. The last 12 months have been the darkest I can remember. Something has been revealed about our society. These people have showed us who they really are, and we can never unsee it. “Radicalized” doesn’t really even begin to describe the effect all of this has had on some of us.
Beef prices aren't up becuase of tariffs you moron. They are up because:
1. 4 meatpackers have consolidated the entire industry and are currently under investigation for price fixing.
2. Cattle herds are at record lows because of leftist policy for the past 10 years intentionally trying to destroy the meat industry to prevent climate change.
3. We imported 40 million people in the past 4 years that are all subsudized by the government to buy beef from walmart.
This is all well known and the American left has been public about this for years. A temporary waver of tariffs on foreign beef to bring prices down during midterm elections is not proof that tariffs are bad or that the current situation is caused by tariffs.
When Christians use the word “generosity” they mean “generosity with your own money.”
When progressives use the word “generosity” they mean “voting for the government to forcibly redistribute other people’s money.”
Liberal women will jump in front of ICE agents to stop illegals from being deported, tear down the country so they can keep killing unborn babies, and show up in droves to support a woman who strangled her kids to death and the media will keep telling us that "young white men" are actually the ones becoming radicalized in our society.

After 11 years as a sports columnist at the Seattle Times, I have decided to resign. It was entirely my choice, and it was not an easy one. The impetus was the Times declining to run a column I wrote from the perspective of two female student athletes who were opposed to competing against biological males. It was one of several pieces of mine that had been spiked, and I no longer felt like I could properly do my job as a columnist. I lay out the situation in greater detail in the link below, but I want to say that I enjoyed my time with the paper, find the talent there to be immense, and have no animosity toward anyone who works there. It was just time for a change.

Nielsen just released its first-ever NFL Fandom Index, which ranks how avid NFL fans are in each team market based on 8 key metrics:
-- Apparel purchases
-- Event attendance
-- Linear TV viewership
-- Streaming
-- Radio listening
-- Betting intent
-- Social media following
-- General interest
Unsurprising: Small markets generally outperform larger ones (Boston at 21 is a bit of a head-scratcher though)
Forced masking schoolchildren was cruel and unscientific, but so-called experts zealously demanded it.
I remember catching a lot of grief when I did an executive order banning school districts from forcing masks.
They never acknowledged harm due to forced masking schoolchildren.
Be careful what you complain about.
-You gripe about traffic… because you own a car.
-You moan about housework… because you have a home.
-You hate cooking… because there’s food in the fridge.
-You drag yourself to work… because you actually have a job.
-You wake up exhausted… because you get to raise kids.
-You bury yourself in laundry… because your family has clothes on their backs.
-You dread the gym… because you still have a body that can move.
-You stare at a sink full of dishes… because you got to eat today.
Most of the things we complain about are the exact blessings somebody else is praying for.
Stop treating your wins like burdens.
You can’t make this up. Many of the same blue-state AGs trying to block faster, cheaper energy infrastructure represent states where electricity prices have already skyrocketed.
And…their answer to soaring power bills? Keep permitting slow, expensive, and buried in red tape.
The Ravens have had a top 10 defense every year. The years they don’t have one they don’t make the playoffs. THEIR QB HAS TO HAVE ONE.
Joe Burrow has never been on a team with a Top 10 Defense (Highest 17th). If they ever reach that, I guarantee you a SB appearance.
Right about HERE is when I was screaming at the top of my lungs that closing your economy on purpose would have catastrophic consequences for years to come. And 95% of people with a microphone told me I was a grandma killer.
