#cycling question two riders coming towards eachother on cycle path One pulls to the left to allow the other to pass the other to the right straight on then proceeds to swear at rider on the left who also left space for street sign I always thought pull to the left like in a car?
@LaurieStreet_@GWH_NHS Yes, bare in mind that with our current staffing we may not be able to come down straight away however. I have plans for an A-DIVA card too for patients who have known bad access they can flash it on admission and get decent access sooner :-)
Trialing ultrasound guided Long Cannulas for difficult access (DIVA) patients @GWH_NHS patients really grateful to have reduced cannulation attempts, so far so good. #vascularaccess#POCUS#ivaccess
@jucarr15 @rosieICM Couple of things. 1) you're talking to a picture. 2) when donned with gown and gloves, most people who are trained in scrubbing would stand like this to avoid contaminating their hands by touching non sterile things even if in a non-sterile area 3) They can stand how they want.
#CatsOfTwitter being jerks when I'm trying to do some writing. One cat chewing my pencil, one trying to eat the fish and another bitching because he can see the bottom of his bowl... A tiny hole surrounded by kibble.
@aggie_kopanska @GWH_NHS Just give us a call or bleep Mon-Fri we try hard to get them done same day. Any length of time, if you know you have a patient with poor access and needing iv medications for any duration. It's all about preserving patients veins and giving them a better experience.
Benefits of the long cannula are that they can remain in for up to 4 weeks! Reduced needle punctures and missed doses of medication. Also a cost saving as well, cannulas often fail within the first 24 hours more so in DIVA patients. It's great seeing these benefits first hand.
@LordGrimdark had the sudden urge to re-read the first law... However the blade itself and before they are hung are currently under the end of my son's crib as he had the sniffles and I forgot to remove them. Good books and practical!
