The NH-44, which connects Jammu & Kashmir to the rest of India, has been severely damaged due to recent landslides. The train services to Kashmir were scheduled to be inaugurated on April 19th, but the event was postponed due to bad weather predictions.

As of now, many parts of Jammu & Kashmir are completely cut off, with air travel being the only option - and unfortunately, the airfares have skyrocketed, making it unaffordable for most citizens.

In this difficult time, starting a few special trains would be a huge relief for the people. The formal inauguration can take place later, but i sincerely request immediate action for the sake of the common citizen. #IndianRailways #Kashmir
