A common man

Shri Dharmendra Pradhan is one of the finest public servants I know. He cares deeply about the youth of this nation, and particularly about rural students. We have had many discussions on how to better skill our rural youth.

I am sad to see him resign. He has put the nation above self, and my respect for him is even greater now.

Thank you for your service Pradhan-ji, please keep fighting the good fight 🙏

Can desalinated water deliver a future of infinite water?
Yes!
• It's cheap
• It will get even cheaper
• Limited pollution
• Some countries already live off of it

We can transform deserts into paradise. And some countries are already on that path:🧵

Did you know a Grande is cheaper than a Venti?

Yet people often spend more on a Venti.

They use ‘Pricing psychology’ to get more money out of your pocket.

Here's how other brands do the same to you:

Why was the Olympic opening ceremony so bad?

The Olympics are about inclusion of everybody, where the only measure of success is being the best

This ceremony:
• excluded a majority of ppl by mocking religions
• celebrated difference for its sake, independent from performance

We live in a strange world, where people demand higher accountability from influencers.

@Wilsonpselvam @DavidManohar7 @Chief_Secy_TN @DISTRICTCPT @evvelu @SP_chengalpattu Being the General Manager step up and understand the grave nature of this issue. You don’t have to give the land, but the least you could do is to design a solution so no body dies outside your resort.

@UpdatesChennai Such a shame, cutting out the canopy trees for a garden. Lack of understanding, not even the so called influencers understand this.

This video of the Rock of Gibraltar gives an intuition for why some areas of the world have deserts next to rainforests

What's happening here?
How can you use that to predict where there will be deserts or rainforests?🧵

[Anurag Taleda @AnuragTaleda]

@UpdatesChennai The guy is right, you have swayed away yourself from some ground facts. Spend some time and read about Chennai and its water crisis. Remind yourself of Day Zero! We are one season away from crisis. Desalination is a solution for a minor part.
