We had a young lady in the ICU. She couldn't have been more than 13 or 14 years old. She came in very ill and ended up becoming septic. That affected her lungs and her ability to breathe. She had a high fever; her white cell count was very high. It’s a very, very heartbreaking situation to see anyone go through that, let alone a child. After she received appropriate therapy, antibiotics, and intervention from ourselves as the critical care team, she was taken off a ventilator. She even remembered me and my name from before going into the coma. We got her reintegrated back to a normal life for a 13-year-old girl. So, this is what I want to do.
