@implausibleblog Farage and his cronies are desperate to get us out of ECHR because it will free them to bring back what in effect will be serfdom for the majority of the population and make them Feudal Lords. He’s in it all for himself and his ilk and trying to hide this under fear of immigrants
@real1314@raptapsally Except that 1950’s. Women were not treated equally when they worked. Paid less than men for same work; not allowed to contribute towards private pensions; not allowed to have mortgages in their own names.
@WASPI_Campaign@DWPgovuk@RachelReevesMP What people forget about 1950’s women is that they were never treated equally as young working women. Paid less for the same job as me. Not allowed to join pension schemes. Not allowed mortgages of their own i.e treated unequally. Yet when older equality thrust upon them. Unjust.
@EmilyThornberry OK this is bad … but when will the people implicated for corruption, and there are many various cases, be held to account under the law and when will the tax payer be recompensed.
@RichardJMurphy 5 is the legal age at which children should start primary school even though different local authorities have different starting ages for nursery classes.
@BBCNewsnight Then we have to ask why the younger generation are disproportionately affected by inequality and not blame it on pensioners? It is down to Neoliberalism and Thatchers free market which ALL successive governments, including present one, have followed
@PeterStefanovi2 My only concern is ‘will it be a fair settlement’ ??? Will it take discrimination against 50’s women into account??? A maximum payment of £3 thousand for up to £50 thousand loss??? That is not fair.
