NEWBORN Last week Dr. Noel conducted a health check of Muhoza group in Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda and found the mountain gorillas in good health. On April 29, the group added a new member when Agasara gave birth! Mother and infant are doing well!
THANK YOU.
In total you helped raise a fabulous £18,870 in the #GreenMatchFund- an absolutely amazing result!
Your generosity will help to protect even more of Sumatra's unique rainforests so orangutans, people and our planet can thrive.
We truly appreciate your support 💚
It's Alba's rescue day!😍
It was a sensation when we rescued the only known albino orangutan on 29 April 2017!
Alba spent almost two years in our Nyaru Menteng centre before we released her back to the wild.
Check out this beautiful video of our beloved Alba!

We hope you enjoy a relaxing weekend!
Here you can see Lalia laying in the grass & enjoying some down time at Lola ya Bonobo Sanctuary. Bonobos are sometimes called the “hippie apes” as they are peaceful and love to relax! ✌️

This beautiful male orangutan looks quite small surrounded by the trees and plants in his rainforest habitat. We love to see #orangutans in thriving forests like this.

Owila arrived dehydrated & malnourished, weighing only 3kg (6.6 lbs.) She has sores on the bottom of her feet.

Yordanka was born at our Samboja Lestari Rehabilitation Centre on 30 January 2013.
Our team handraised her because her mother was too young and rejected her.
Thanks to our dedicated staff Yordanka grew into a confident, smart and happy orangutan.🙃

Here’s our big news!
We've returned 14 bonobos to the wild - just the 2nd time ever! 14 bonobos are now free & protected in Ekolo ya Bonobo Community Reserve!
Thank you to supporters worldwide, incl. @BoredApeYC & @TBAChronicles who made it possible!

Rewilding a group of rehabilitated bonobos takes years of planning and work. After years of surrogate care and group socialization at Lola ya Bonobo, a bonded group led by matriarch, Maya, was transported 800 km from Lola to Totaka Island - by plane, trucks, and rafts.
