@williamsburg_12@TheTimDurham He crossed the line right as the yellow came on (again) and Indycar initially sent an auto message that the pits were closed. Then they rescinded that notice because he made it in time. The team started to only give him emergency service and then full. Trapped him 2 laps down.
@wbuxtonofficial@IndyCarOnFOX Instant classic told so artfully by you and the crew. We are so blessed to have you in IndyCar. You should be incredibly proud of yourself. Hope we have you here for many years ahead. You clearly found your place of mastery and genius.
@AlexanderRossi@laurelizaley@IndyCar Stuff of legends, Legend. Thank you for inspiring us with your grit. I hope the speedway’s cruelty these last few years means she is saving a big epic W for you next year. In the meantime we will be cheering for you.
Alexander Rossi preparing to go race 500 miles at 220+mph inches away from competitors when he’s unable to walk up steps unassisted with a broken bone in the ankle of his pedal foot cannot be overlooked as an absolutely badass move, no matter how today’s 200 laps go.
@TimmyKal12 Don’t prepay for parking. Find a community parking lot that you like, a church or fire station. $20-$30. Better to not park too close so you can get out. The walk through the Speedway neighborhood is something you will never forget. Such a cool celebration.
