@Eliza_Sweeney_@PhDVoice@PhDForum@Momademia Hi Eliza! I have been writing only in the last three months, 2wks to deadline ;) I relied on detailed protocols, progress reports, good figures I have prepared trhoughout the 3 years. I think the best is to keep very good documentation of everything that is done along the way!
@M_Avidnote @PhDVoice@OpenAcademics 2/2 I really love the research, the searching for solutions, the writing and sharing results, the teaching! I think a PhD is like a long-term relationship, you know the good and the bad, and you weather through the bad times, to enjoy the best of times to the fullest :-)
@M_Avidnote @PhDVoice@OpenAcademics 1/2 I am in my third year now, PhD in molecular biology and genetics of placenta. I had weeks were I felt like quitting everything and pick up baking! BUT... would definitely fo it all over again :-)
@IttySmitty @PhDVoice Hi Hailey, I am now in my 3rd year of PhD. I did my MSc in Birmingham (UK), in 2016. But actually I still felt not resilient enough. So I worked as Research Associate for 2 years, and then felt confident and ready! I would go for the Master ;) Good luck with your plans!
Early-career #placenta researchers, we look forward to your abstracts!

Calling London, Paris, Melbourne, Auckland and anybody in-between...
So happy to share our first research paper @caminoruanosm! We identified differential alternative splicing of genes as a key feature of pathological placentas (Preeclampsia and Intra-uterine growth restriction), as well as being influenced by genetics.
