@abinash_88 @apoorva_rai12@patcummins30 I am not sure I understand your anger but yes, incredibly, religion does do that. When a religion prescribes for thousands of years that only certain castes get educated and others don't, of course this will lead to some groups wealthier than others.
@abinash_88 @apoorva_rai12@patcummins30 Maybe the religion should have taken better care of them in the first place rather than cry later about how everyone is leaving the party? Just a thought
@abinash_88 @apoorva_rai12@patcummins30 If all it took is a 100 rupees and a rice bag to convert someone that tells you all you need to know about how badly their original religion treated them.
This week, there is a coordinated attack on voting rights. GOP-led legislatures in GA, AZ & NH are pushing dozens of bills to make it harder for people of color & young people to vote. We voted in Nov & instead of listening, they are trying to shut us out of the process. 1/18
Interesting. The Republican Party claims to be the party of the working class. Yet, according to a recent Pew poll, 63% of lower-income Republicans support the covid relief bill that we just passed - but not one Republican voted for it. They sure LOVE working people. No doubt.
@AnnGarrison@AyannaPressley We will tell them that elected officials are required to follow rules and codes of conduct like every other human being doing a job. If not, they can get fired.
Wall Street cannot continue functioning as a gambling casino. It's time for a tax on Wall Street speculation so that we can raise the funds to cancel student debt and make public colleges and universities tuition-free.
A maskless Marjorie Taylor Greene & her staff berated me in a hallway. She targeted me & others on social media.
I'm moving my office away from hers for my team's safety.
I've called for the expulsion of members who incited the insurrection from Day 1. Bring H.Res 25 to a vote.
It’s time for Senate Democrats to realize that they were given an explicit governing mandate by voters, and exactly zero of those voters will accept the filibuster as an excuse for legislative inaction.
We will never get 60 votes in the Senate to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. If we are going to keep faith with millions of low wage workers, the minimum wage increase must be a part of budget reconciliation. Let us end starvation wages in America.
It took less than a day for big tech, big government and the corporate media to spring into action and begin colluding to protect their hedge fund buddies on Wall Street. This is what a rigged system looks like, folks! #RobinHood#RedditArmy#GME#GMEtothemoon
If Republicans have suddenly begun to deeply value and prioritize bipartisanship in Washington, they can start by supporting $2k checks and retroactive unemployment for people. Then it will be bipartisan 🌞
