Let me be honest. I wanted to stay Muslim so badly.
Not even because of God at first, but because of the life attached to it.
My dad’s businesses were waiting for me. Signed and ready.
My mom’s community. Doctors, lawyers, politicians. Connections everywhere.
Success was laid out in front of me.
There was even an arranged marriage lined up. A doctor. Beautiful future. House. Wedding. Stability.
All I had to do was say one sentence:
“Yeah, I still believe.”
That was it.
Keep the money.
Keep the family approval.
Keep the life.
But here’s what ruined it for me:
I could not unsee Jesus.
Once I really read the Quran and compared it to the Gospel, I couldn’t force myself back into pretending.
And honestly, knowledge becomes heavy at that point.
Because I didn’t leave Islam to rebel.
I left because I could not betray what I believed was true.
No business opportunity, no relationship, no comfortable future was worth denying the King who gave His life for me.
So yeah, my life would have been easier if I stayed.
But when Jesus says, “I am the way,” you don’t answer with, “But the other path feels safer.”
You pick up your cross and walk.
A church in Atlanta was honoring one of its senior pastors who had been retired many years. He was 92 at that time and I wondered why the church even bothered to ask the old gentleman to preach at that age.
After a warm welcome, introduction of this speaker, and as the applause quieted down, he rose from his high back chair and walked slowly, with great effort and a sliding gait to the podium.
Without a note or written paper of any kind he placed both hands on the pulpit to steady himself and then quietly and slowly he began to speak....
"When I was asked to come here today and talk to you, your pastor asked me to tell you what was the greatest lesson ever learned in my 50-odd years of preaching. I thought about it for a few days and boiled it down to just one thing that made the most difference in my life and sustained me through all my trials. The one thing that I could always rely on when tears and heartbreak and pain and fear and sorrow paralyzed me...
The only thing that would comfort was this verse....
"Jesus loves me this I know.
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong,
We are weak but He is strong.....
Yes, Jesus loves me....
The Bible tells me so."
The old pastor stated, "I always noticed that it was the adults who chose the children's hymn 'Jesus Loves Me' (for the children of course) during a hymn sing, and it was the adults who sang the loudest because I could see they knew it the best."
"Here for you now is a Senior version of Jesus Loves Me":
JESUS LOVES ME
Jesus loves me, this I know,
Though my hair is white as snow
Though my sight is growing dim,
Still He bids me trust in Him.
(CHORUS)
YES, JESUS LOVES ME.. YES, JESUS LOVES ME..
YES, JESUS LOVES ME, FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO.
Though my steps are oh, so slow,
With my hand in His I'll go
On through life, let come what may,
He'll be there to lead the way.
(verse 2)
When the nights are dark and long,
In my heart He puts a song..
Telling me in words so clear,
"Have no fear, for I am near."
(Verse 3)
When my work on earth is done,
And life's victories have been won.
He will take me home above,
Then I'll understand His love.
(CHORUS)
I love Jesus, does He know?
Have I ever told Him so?
Jesus loves to hear me say,
That I love Him every day.
If you think this is neat, please pass it on to your friends. If you do not pass it on, nothing bad will happen, but you will have missed an opportunity to "reach out and touch" a friend or a loved one. God Bless Us All!!! AMEN!
@Protestia With all due respect, this Bishop is wrong! The Testaments are two covenants, with the New Testament being the final covenant settled in the Blood of Christ, and thus it is complete. There is no need for another covenant!
Christianity is not compatible with Islam. And pretending it is doesn’t promote peace, it produces confusion.
Yes, we are called to love all people, including Muslims.
But love does not mean agreement. Because Islam denies the very foundation of the Gospel:
Jesus as the Son of God.
Jesus crucified.
Jesus resurrected.
No cross equals no salvation.
Scripture is clear: “Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.” (1 John 2:22)
This isn’t about being hateful. This is about being truthful. To not know the voice of the true Shepherd is to fall prey to an impostor.
Christian apologist @WesleyLHuff shares:
“In John’s letters, he says that God is love. If love is the greatest ethic, then the greatest example of that ethic is self-sacrifice.
There’s something very profound about the Son of God stepping off His throne in eternity, living a simple life in humanity, and voluntarily going to the cross as the second person of the Trinity, taking on our depravity. Then, in eternity, as the eternal God-man in glory, He bears the physical representations of that particular event.
I think it’s meant to be a reminder to us that for all eternity, Jesus is going to bear the marks of the glorification of the God-head, how God is truly glorified.
The cross wasn’t a contingency plan. It wasn’t a mistake. God didn’t create people and say, ‘Oops, they rebelled. What am I going to do?’ No, in both Peter’s letters and in Revelation, it says that before the foundations of the world were laid, the Lamb was slain. This was the plan from the very beginning: that the God who is the very definition of love is going to then exemplify that in the greatest possible ethic, which is self-sacrifice. And Jesus did that willingly.”
THE DAY 2 STRANGERS TRIED TO HEAL ME IN A STARBUCKS
I was sitting in Starbucks when two college-aged girls walked up, noticed my knee brace, and said,
“Sir, can we pray for your healing?”
I smiled. “Absolutely.”
What they didn’t know is I’ve had this bad knee for 35 years—ever since I tore my ACL (yes… attempting to dance like Michael Jackson). The surgery failed, and I’ve been managing it ever since.
They also had no idea I was an evangelist.
They prayed with bold faith—right there in Starbucks, asking God to heal.
When they finished, they asked, “Did you feel anything? Are you healed?”
I paused. “Honestly… no.”
But before they walked away, I asked them something they didn’t expect:
“Aren’t you going to share the Gospel with me?”
They looked confused.
I said, “You were bold enough to approach me and pray for my knee—but what about my soul?”
Then they admitted it: they didn’t really know how to share the Gospel.
So right there, in the middle of Starbucks, I gave them a quick crash course—how to move from physical need to spiritual truth, and how to clearly share the good news of Jesus.
By the end, their confidence had completely shifted. They weren’t just willing to pray anymore—they were ready to speak.
They walked away excited, determined to not only pray for people—but to share the message that actually changes lives.
Don’t get me wrong—I believe God can heal. I believe we should pray in faith for healing. I’ve experienced God’s healing personally on other occasions.
But if we stop there, we miss the bigger miracle.
Because the greatest healing isn’t physical—it’s spiritual.
If the body is healed but the soul is lost, what a wasted opportunity.
I’d rather have someone limp into heaven than sprint into hell.
This Easter, I invite you to look at Jesus, consider what he said and did, and ask for yourself what I believe is the most important question you will ever answer: Did he really leave behind an empty tomb? And if he did, what does that mean for you?
This video was made possible and in collaboration with my friends at @ChildlikeMedia.

Facts about the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
• Took place around AD 33
• Reported in all four Gospels
• He remained in the tomb for 3 days
• He appeared to followers for 40 days
• More than 500 people witnessed Him
Absolutely incredible.
The Dead Sea Scrolls, discovered in 1947, contain Old Testament manuscripts over 1,000 years older than previously known copies.
When compared to later copies, the text was nearly identical.
God preserved it through the centuries, just like He said He would (Isaiah 40:8).
The goal of the Gospel is not to affirm you, celebrate you, or empower you to do whatever you want.
The goal of the Gospel is to rescue you, transform you, and empower you to do whatever God says.
