@CBoxSports Despite what Francona says, the fault was with Steer. In that situation, both runners should have been running the instant the ball was hit on the ground. The worst that could have happened was Steer is out at home and the Reds would have had runners on the corners.

Can you tell a "partisan gerrymander" just by looking at a map?

Most people think so. But it actually depends what you mean: do you mean election districts that are truly competitive? Districts that are representative of the voters? Districts whose boundaries follow lines on a map, or the communities where people live?

These are legitimately hard questions, and there are real tradeoffs. No system is perfect. But the system we have now is purpose-drawn specifically to suppress half or more voters in the state and to permanently suppress their representation - and that cannot stand.
