@farbodsaraf This is cool, but... imagine how many thousands of accidents there would be if this became a standard move in cycling. If all professionals would start doing it and amateurs would try to mimic it... ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
@davemark@reneritchie Can you name a single product in the last 20 years (since Steve Jobs' 4 quadrant strategy) where Apple used "Pro" for something that wasn't primarily targeted at Professional users?

One of my most controversial software opinions is that your sleep quality and stress level matter far, far more than the languages you use or the practices you follow. Nothing else comes close: not type systems, not TDD, not formal methods, not ANYTHING.
Allow me to explain why.
@marcoarment@atpfm In all seriousness, I understand that the target audience of people who want to manage a local library, import their own files, edit metadata, etc, is much smaller than the one for streaming convenience. But would it be that much smaller than the one for podcast enthusiasts? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@_DavidSmith My guess: left is official, right is yours. Left center circle looks better, the minor tick marks anti-aliasing is smoother, and the minute hand reaches just a bit into the minor tick marks rather than stopping before.
@talkaboutdesign I assume Marzipan will have gobbled up a lot of Xcode attention this year... not holding my breath for the nice touches that'd help on the day-to-day.
I'm changing Twitter id, I'm now at @41RCO
I started this id a few years back for a small blog w/ Apple-related posts. But there's already so many brilliant people posting so much, and I stopped it. I've noticed the "apple" in my handle skews some conversations, so am changing.
@Edward_kok @GuitarMoog @StevePeers Understandable, but wouldn't it be fair to say that "more stable" in this context basically means they prefer budgets that can be brokered through backroom bartering between heads of state, rather than being exposed to the scrutiny and potential disruptions of a public campaign?

@StevePeers@cjbxl I didn't mean to imply otherwise, I didn't phrase that well.
What I meant is that if we want people to care more about European elections and counter the voices that say it doesn't matter, making sure that there are actual budget decisions at stake seems a logical step.
@cjbxl@StevePeers Sounds like a bit of powerplay between Council and Commission on the one hand, but also one of those tipping points between intergovernmental and supranational on the other hand. Doesn't do much to help the democratic deficit though if the elections can't influence the budget.
